Mike Jacobs is an search and online marketing pioneer who has led countless marketing teams, consulted for top global advertisers, and built and exited multiple online businesses. Over the past decade, Mike has managed hundreds of millions of dollars in ad spend via Google, MSN, Yahoo!, Facebook, Twitter, video, ad networks, exchanges, DSPs, Yahoo!, Ad.com, and numerous large publishers. He has managed online campaigns for a long list of clients including Luxottica, MTV, Netflix, Wall Street Journal, Yahoo!, Move.com, Huffington Post, Marvel, esurance, Bloomberg, AARP, TV Guide, Forbes, Guthy-Renker, Monster.com, and eDiets.

For nearly a decade, Mike was co-owner and Chief Services Officer for online marketing agency Marketing LTD - named CJ "Agency of the Year", twice named to the Inc. 5000, and purchased in 2012 by Mercury Media. He was general manager of the TrackingSoft subsidiary, which built the campaign tracking and analytics platform used by industry leaders like Dow Jones and Yahoo!

Previously, Mike was co-founder, executive team member, and Director of Product Marketing for Expression Engines/Bigfoot Interactive, which sold to Epsilon in 2006. He also co-founded WebMogul, one of the first SEO and SEM firms, back in 1999. Mike built the MusicWide network of sites - generating hundreds of millions of dollars in ecommerce sales by cracking the original Google algorithm - and became one of the first SuperAffiliates. He was an associate with Interactive Capital, a New York-based venture capital firm investing in early-stage Internet and communications companies. Mike also spent several years as a strategy consultant with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), providing strategic marketing advice to Fortune 100 companies and developing business plans for new ventures (including what is now Travelocity). He also worked on some the earliest ecommerce projects, predating the word itself.

Mike graduated from Yale University magna cum laude with a BA in Economics with distinction in three years. He has been featured in various publications including Revenue, DMNews, Crain's, Enterprise 2.0, Venture Reporter, @New York, Silicon Alley Reporter, and the New York Times. He is a former member of the Google AdWords Advisory Council, SEMPO, and the Linkshare Advisory Board. Speaking venues include eTail, Affiliate Summit, Commission Junction University, Internet.com's Affiliate Solutions, the BeFree conference, Linkshare Summit, and Linkshare Symposium.

Mike is an award-winning guitarist, singer, and songwriter, with international touring and airplay. His musical projects have been featured everywhere from MTV and NBC, to USO tours across Europe, to Mountain Dew Commercials, to the big screen in the Jack Black movie School of Rock.
